Lolly Pop

I remember when my dad brought home this ponytail palm for my mom. It was puny and I towered over it. Over the years it's became my favorite. My job growing up was cleaning  the dead leaves and pulling keiki [new growth] off the trunk. As it grew mom had dad cut the cement sidewalk so that the 'poor thing' could grow. Today I heard my brother calling from somewhere out side. I looked out the kitchen window and there he was, perched at the top. I ran out with my camera and snapped a few pictures. He then got a few of me. This tree is now at least 15' tall.

Before ya'll think I actually 'climbed' up there, look again. I used the ladder Adam propped up, and I'm simply leaning over. Obviously it was a good illusion 'cuz I got ya believing that I did climb.

Jokes on you!!!!

Boy, got you too! You know though, it was a bit adventurous as all my weight was leaning on a fairly whimsy branch. Not to mention the wind blowing the tree and me.
