On the long drives to work I have been listening to sermons, so by 6:30 my radio is tuned to CSN. We have been going thru Genesis, and in particular Abraham's life. Today's chapter was right before the angels go and wipe out Sodom. Right before they do that, there is a dialogue between God and Abraham. Abraham asks God what the minimum amount of righteous people would be before wiping out the wicked city. God promised that if there were 10 people found righteous He would spare the city. It's interesting that even though God has His will and way in everything, He was still interested in having Abraham's input. God all along was going to save the city for 10 righteous, but now Abraham had been included to be an intercessor for Lot, his nephew, and Lot's family. The pastor ended by saying that prayer and praying for others is an important part we can have in God's kingdom. Prayer unlocks so many doors and gets us in tune with the will of God. Even though this is a foundation fact, I sometimes forget just how important it is. May we use this awesome privilege to pray for those we care about and then see God move in mighty ways.
