If you've been to our house recently I might have noticed our cutainless windows. My mom has always made the curtains, and after painting the interior it was time for new ones. But her idea for the new curtains never budded into a workable pattern. So after 2 1/2 years of looking at our naked windows it was time. Saturday evening after completing several chores mom and I went out to the craft room. We himmed and hawed at lots of different color choices and styles. But before giving up again, we hit a revelation. A piece of this and a piece of that, along with some of this.....ahhh! We created the look. And with that, both of us started getting the project underway. Mind you this will not be any kind of plain curtain, this will be quilted! If any of you understand quilting you know it always means lots of little cut up pieces of fabric that must be the exact same size. My part is cutting the pieces and 'squaring' them up. Mom's is then sewing those strips together. It's so exciting and I can't wait for the completed curtains to be up on our walls. I will post some pictures as soon as they are up. But for a sneak peek the last picture is of a similar fabrics that we will be using.
