I have been wanting to get a shotgun or rifle put in my name now that I'm 18. Well in order to obtain a gun you have to take a Hunters Education course [11.5 hr course]. By the time that I found a class, it was already full. I was told to come early, just in case there was no shows. So on Monday [the first class] me and 20 other standbys all got in. The only people that were taking the course that I knew were my cousin's wife and her sister.

The class in it self was very normal for the Fed's [who sponsor it]. Practically everything that they said was common sense such as...'Can you point a gun at you friend if the gun is unloaded?' Though there were a few things that made me wonder about like when they asked us to tell the diff between to similar birds[come on leave that for the bird watchers]. So after 3 days of this I was interested on how well I would do on the test.

You have to get a 75 percent or better in order to pass and I was not about to take the class again, so I took a sample test online. I got a 56 the first time and 75 the second time. When I finally took the real test all the questions were things that they had talked about [except for 3 questions which I had never seen in the books or heard in class]. I got a 92.

Personally I think that they put 2 or 3 questions in there that are found no where else so that you get less then 100. The same thing is true with drivers exams. Just to show that they still have something over you.

Alright, alright...I know that that is totally not based on any fact and I my own personal thoughts.

"Writing sheds a light on a persons character"....well I don't know how much I like that but oh well.
